About the School

Enlighten Chinese was founded at 2009. We teach Chinese language (Mandarin) and culture using simplified Chinese character and Pin Yin (Chinese phonic system). 2 kinds of classes, CHL( Chinese as the Heritage Language) and CFL( Chinese as the Foreign Language) are offered at Enlighten Chinese School. We offer grade K to AP (Grade 10) for CHL classes, and leve[ 1 to 6 for CFL classes. There're 3 quarters each school year, and 11 classes each quarter. We meet at Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm - 5:20pm. San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD) , Fremont Union High School District (FUHD), Campbell Union High School District (CUHSD), Mountain View Los Altos High School District (MVLA) and East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) high school students could receive 10 foreign language credit award each year through taking class at Enlighten Chinese School per approval. Besides Chinese classes, we also offer Fundamental Math and Competitive Math courses.

During each summer, Enlighten Chinese offers 9 weeks of summer camp program.

Beside the weekend Chinese school program, we also provide weekday after-school and bilingual preschool program.

Enlighten Chinese School is the first Chinese School accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges,(WASC) in Northern California.
